This thread got some gears turning and bought a copy of Yoshimi on vinyl off the bay yesterday. Cant wait until it arrives. Soft Bulletin on vinyl goes for a higher price than what I really want to pay unfortunately. Anywhere from $70 to $150.

The reissues sound just fine, I would have to assume that's the price for an original pressing.
 
STILL LISTENING TO THESE: I renewed all of the cd's I have out from the library but someone had reserved The Soft Bulletin so back into the drop-off box it went. Right now I'm into At War With The Mystics. What is it about these songs, this band...

Well, there are very few cd's that I know of that provide so much... The subject matter, the songs, the seemingly endless layers of sounds... you'll never get it all. It's the same reason I like Beck, Pink Floyd and Steely Dan. The songs are lush, hypnotic, deep and just basically right on. Kind of amazed I never got into this band until now as I am always desiring something new that I can really get into. I'm one of those people that I can only watch a movie once but I can listen to the same piece of music over and over for weeks. Music is like a drug and right now The Flaming Lips are my dealer of choice.
