hi gang,
i was at the flea market yesterday and i picked up a grado ZF3 cartridge with a back dot stylus for $40. it looked like it was in great shape (it had actually been mounted on an orphaned headshell inside a locked display case so it was clean and not rolling around a flea market.) guy wanted $65 but i got it for $40. i thought it was a no-brainer, but how'd i do?
i was running an 8MZ stylus (every bit as good as its rep IMO) in an old grado black cart, but now i've got it in the ZF3.
it sounds a lot more dynamic to me and i'm not usually one to fall for an audio placebo...
