i would go with some kef speakers,i have been using my kef based transmission lines for years and have not found any thing that compares,
my ones were made for or by nzbc in the early 70s, the drivers are very repairable if you find a set that has had a hard life ,the imageing is off the chart , the bass is not boomy but super punchy and tight ,
they are very big , so thats one down fall for some ,
for me i like to show off my gear so big is good lol
please do consider some ,
another set that comes to mind if you want some that sounds great and do not have the large foot prints is the b and w dm2a
