Florian Schneider-Esleben (Kraftwerk) is dead.

[harman/kardon]

He passed away aged 73. Rest in peace.

Sad new indeed, hugely influential.

Pretty poor feedback. I expected more Kraftwerk fans in this forum.

[Gazdatronik]

Not too many Kraftwerk fans in general
But I like them.

Autobahn is a great album. The SQ is something else. R.I.P. and thank you for the innovative music.

Multiple threads on him.

"Autobahn" has always been a favorite of mine! So sad to hear of his passing.

I have always liked Kraftwerk, I missed this post - I still listen to them... Here's an interesting interview.... There are three parts...

I knew and loved Kraftwerk long before I was aware of krautrock or German psych.
They were always such an anomaly to me because they just weren't represented on American radio.
But his influence on popular music of the last 45 years cannot be denied.

RIP.
