Foam on the back of PCB

Every so often I run into a piece of equipment where there's a piece of foam preventing a section of the PCB (solder side) from making contact with something that could cause a short (usually the chassis). It's almost always adhered to the PCB with double-sided tape of some kind, and invariably said foam is dry rotted (at least if it's the open cell type). So, what do folks replace this with that's non-conductive and has no risk of corroding the PCB on the tape side? Plain ol' weather stripping foam?

I use felt with Kapton tape.

How about "fish paper"? Its good for thousands of volts.

I second fish paper. I worked at a place where we had to run a ribbon cable under a circuit board. We used fish paper to keep the pcb from shorting out on the ribbon cable. It worked like a charm.

Thanks all. The fish paper is a good idea. I like the kapton tape hack too.
