Focal JM Lab Chorus 725's

Someone please help me out. I think I landed a genuine Thrift Store Score but i can only find limited information on these speakers. What I could find was encouraging which is good. They cleaned up well and the grills are in respectable condition. 3 way towers with concave titanium tweeters and three 6.5" drivers handling the mids and bass. They were missing jumpers between high / low posts so i fashioned some speaker wire specials and hooked them up. I am somewhat blown away. First, I'm pumped that all drivers are working as they should, then i started listening, with no sub, in a medium size room and i have to say... wow. These things are very neutral and take direction well. I have them hooked up to a decent Kenwood power amp with an EQ and the mids and highs are crisp and strong. They have respectable bass but are spec'd at 47hz on the low end so i am sure a good sub would only help. Gave them some volume and they lit up nicely, taking what the Kenwood was giving them and creating a nice sound stage. Long story short, I paid $30 for them and i think they sound great.

Anyone out there have experience with these things. Please let me know.

Thanks

I've got the quite a bit further down the line 516s, and they're great speakers. this is definitely a HUGE score in my opinion.

Good job!

Thanks. I gave them a good 3 hour workout and they sounded great with just about any music. I'm really only into two channel listening and these days so I love that they are versatile. just ordered a legit set of jumpers and some banana clips.
