Focusrite 6i6 + Control, Analog passthrough or Digital?

Hello! not 100% sure if this is the correct section as it regards the DAC of an audio interface. I'm currently getting into the world of hifi and adding a turntable to my existing music production setup. I have a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6. Currently my speakers are plugged into outputs 1/2, I have my phono preamp connected to inputs 3/4, and within the Focusrite Control software I have inputs 3/4 set to play through to all my outputs. I am curious however whether this is purely an analog passthrough, or if the signal is being converted to digital and then back again before reaching the outputs. Changing the buffer size had no effect on latency, which made me think it was analog, however this was consistent with the S/PDIF as well which would have to be converting to digital. Any clarification would be excellent. Thanks.

It's been quite a while ago, I helped a friend set up his DAW with a 6i6. What are they are they up to now, Gen5?
Anyway, my vague memory tells me the routing was all analog based on how you configured the software. If you "set" analog X input to analog Y output, it was directly routed- no digital conversion.

To be absolutely certain, try contacting them through the website and ask.

Cheers
