Subject slightly related to audio, as I'm trying to decal a Turntable Plinth and hope this thread gets a wider audience.
I'm trying to use a foil transfer on top of a printed decal. It can be done, and I've tried many times to get the foil to adhere to the printed decal. I've lowered the heat on my laminator such that the foil won't adhere to the printed decal in any way, and increased the heat slightly that ends up printing on the entire surface of the decal. I've bought a few different name brands foil, also using the most popular laser decals "Sunnyscopa". I've read comments were people have had success and failures on a Brother Printer, which I use. But honestly, I'm not convinced the printer is any issue. I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong.
I have no issues printing on the decal (Pic Included), just problems trying to transfer foil on the print. Works flawlessly on paper, just not on the decal. It can be, and is done, I'm just not having success doing it, with the materials I'm using. Question is, have any of you successfully done this, and do you recommend a specific Decal or Foil manufacture?
I did buy a pack of decals for Ink Jet and will give that a try sometime tomorrow, but I wasn't keen on using an inkjet decal.
