For God's sake please don't look at this story about the iPhone 7 while driving DOA!

I saw a link to one of those video's and figured it would be just some funny thing making fun of apple.. People bought that? HAHAHAHAHA.:rflmao: I guess we did evolve from fish. Hook, line, and sinker.

You should cast a post of this as a suggestion somewhere just for the Halibut

The funniest thing about this is to me is anyone unknowledgeable enough to actually go through with this probably had to either buy the drill too or borrow it from someone who let them go through with it.

Dood, you must not understand marketing and Apple's plan to rule the world.

The Idrill is coming!!!

Next up: the Iscrewdriver!!!

It will be revolutionary!!!

Hey guys, I tried it, guys, and it does work, guys. Use a new bit, though, guys, and you'll end up with cleaner edges around the hole, guys.

Guys.

Guys.

Well, a former good friend of mine, a pretty intelligent person, actually intelligent... but ... but he presented to me a special video on his smartphone. Back then, in 2011, he bought an old 560SEL in lousy technical condition. However, just after the deal he entered the Autobahn with this car with defective steering and lousy tyres, put the hammer down and took a video of the speedometer with the top speed 245 km/h.

Smartphones make stupid people more stupid. And intelligent people more intelligent. There are of course exceptions...

How is it possible that we as an intelligent species, can have such brilliant minds like the ones that designed the phone, and then we have members of the same species that have the IQ score of a soap dish, like the ones that drilled a hole in their new phone. Is stupidity hereditary? :dunno:

I see it all the time in stores, parking lots, etc. - creatures who appear to have only recently achieved bipedalism holding in their paws more electronic computing power than existed in the entire world a few short generations ago.
.

IMO, how smart a person is, is not determined by IQ, knowledge, etc, but what one does with what one has. For example, a person who has a low IQ, but thinks before taking action and does what he/she can to make to make a decent life for him/herself and family is smarter than a person with a high IQ who does stupid and often dangerous things just because he/she can.

One of the smartest guys I ever met has limited math skills and couldn't get into college to save his life. However, he works very hard. He works in construction and always wears ALL of his PPE (Personal protective equipment) on the job. He always wears his seat belt in a car and never uses a cell phone while driving. He doesn't drink and drive and rarely drinks at all. He makes sure that he pays his bills and has necessities before buying wants. He refuses to have credit cards and he takes excellent care of his cat. This young man knows how to have a good time safely too. Last time I saw him was just before getting separated from my x-wife. He lives in our old neighborhood.

Many people have been blessed with higher IQs, better education and many other advantages. Yet, they do stupid things, some of which have resulted in injuries to themselves and/or others. Sadly, in some cases, lives were lost needlessly.

WOW! I saw that video on YouTube very shortly after the iPhone 7 was released and I had a good chuckle that someone would waste a brand new iPhone for the sake of a gag like that. I can't believe people are so oblivious and naive to think that drilling a hole into their brand new iPhone 7 was going to allow them to use their old headphones with it. I mean, don't they realize that when you insert in a 3.5 mm plug that there has to be an electrical device inside that accommodates it, and that drilling a hole into your new phone doesn't magically output sweet tunes to your ears? And even if there was a jack on the inside, why would Apple cover it up with casework??? To give people a fun crafts project at home??? Didn't they ask themselves, "How did this guy so readily know where to exactly drill the hole?" Add to that, the fact that there was a huge announcement by Apple saying that they were doing away with 3.5 mm jacks on the new iPhone 7 and that it was going to be wireless or Lightningbolt connection ONLY! You'd think all these cutting-edge "connected" (pun intended) people would be on top of that one. I don't even own a cell phone and I knew that. lol

I tell you, the more I hear this kind of stuff, the more I think that this entire world is sharing the same brain cell.
