Forte I vs II

I've owned heresy and forte. Forte has more body in the low end to me. Heresy sounds a little tighter in the bass but a little more lean. I prefer the forte, but could be happy with either. Just one short, fat man's opinion.

Gary I think that what you hear pretty much describes the difference between a sealed cabinet and a reflex design (Heresy and Forte) and I agree that either design can be very satisfying depending upon your expectations. Bass frequency response difference between a Heresy and a Forte is about an octave. The Forte extends the lowest of any Klipsch home loudspeaker I know of even lower than a Khorn. Placement is everything with a Forte of Chorus. Best regards Moray James.

Moray, you've sold me on the Forte and others here on the Forte I. I'm on the hunt for those now. I can grab the IIs today, but now I only want the Is since most seem to prefer them. Perhaps there's something to it? And I have no problem admitting that I'm wrong or mistaken. I just figured Klipsch knew what there were doing when they came out with the upgraded II. Maybe it's not that simple. You guys have my head spinning. Is or IIs, what's a guy to do?

Do what I did buy both listen and decide. Personally I much prefer the mid horn in the Forte ll The Chorus ll and the Quarter. Moving forward from there I prefer the KLF20 with new diaphragms and up wards again the CF3 id to me the top of the heap because I prefer a ten to a twelve.
Right now I have a pair of Heresy lll sounding very good and am starting work on my second pair of KLF20 which at some point will morf into a quasi CF3 of types. I am having a lot of fun with Klipsch. Buy em try em own as many as you can it is the ONLY way for YOU to know which is best for you. Best regards Moray James.
