Forte III to Forte IV upgrade kit available from Klipsch

thevinoman

Nothin' but the Blues...
Klipsch will make available a kit to upgrade from Forte III to Forte IV for $399 per pair of speakers.

The usual misinformation was offered by fanboy Randy who stated it was $399 per speaker. Not true, per Bonehead.

Like 99% of Fanboy's posts.............either totally wrong or irrelevant. Either way very UNhelpful.

How is that possible? The mid driver is different and the motor board would have to be cut out!? Also the crossover? This is a joke right?

I have heard the new Forte, Hersey, and Cornwalls at three different locations and the iV models are definitely the best ever, I have only heard the K horns once and I still think prefer the Kornerhorns B models from 70's and 80's. The fit and finish are much better for sure. I have sort of prefer the softer sound when Klipsch used the EV T-35 tweeter. Though I will admit the midrange has improved over the years. If you can afford to accurately voice your khorns it will make the biggest improvement it seems to me. I am still amazed at the improvement in the Hersey. But I still think the Cornwall is my favorite Heritage model. I wish I could audition a pair of Jubilees.,

Mid driver just swaps right out. Horn is same same. Woofer same same. Radiator same. Enclosure same. Only thing in question is the horn for the tweeter, thought the new one had a phase plug or something. Otherwise you're just swapping two drivers and the crossover.

Also last I heard it wasn't even official, I was specifically told this wasn't available and even if it were, it would be Klipsch direct only, no dealers. I have no idea how the part number got leaked.

Or is a Forte III owner between off trading in the Fortes and upgrading to Cornwall IVs?

My dealer in Dubai says he can take my speakers in for trade but we haven't talked price yet. He'd make a great camel dealer and might have been one before opening his shop.

This is actually Funny!

I guess it IS coming, after Trey said there wasn't a part number etc etc etc..... Roy said that there IS in fact a part number for the kit and assembly was in progress......but not yet available.

Does the Forte III have cabinet bracing like the IV does? Not from what I've read.

Hello my fellow Forte III owner. I purchased mine shortly after you purchased yours and I have a question for you. Is all this hype about the Forte IV justified? Seems right after I get my III’s , the IV’s come out and they make me feel mine are garbage!! Did you trade yours in on the Cornwall IV’s? I thought your place was too small for those monsters , or , did you spend the $798 and upgrade your III’s to IV’s? Is it really worth it? Your input would be appreciated. Thank You
