Forte Model 4a amplifier

I just purchased a Forte Model amp which I believe is the 4a. On the front plate of the unit it indicates that it is a Forte Model 4. It does have unbalanced and balanced input connections in the back of the unit. Is this model really the 4a? Thanks

I had a 4A for a while, purchased new, and it also just said "Model 4" on the amp itself. I believe the presence of balanced inputs indicates that it is a 4A. Great amp - enjoy.

Mine says Model 4. Below that in smaller writing it says pure class A amplifier. Great amp I've had it for years w/out any trouble. Much more powerful that it's numbers indicate. Known to handle Magnepans.:thmbsp:

I am piggybacking on this old posting but I own a Forte 4A but do not have a manual. Checking with other owners, which way should the toggle switches on back for RCA cables being used?

Thanks in advance to responders,
KLC
