Fosi P3 Preamp Pairing with Adcom GFA-555?

My Garage system is currently a vintage Kenwood integrated amp that I’m using as a preamp into an Adcom GFA-555. I’ve decided that I want Bluetooth to eliminate the cobbled together cabling from my phone. Im having some difficulty figuring out whether the Fosi P3 that I’m considering has enough output voltage for the Adcom. Is there anyone with experience using the P3 with large power amps? I’ll post the output specs and input sensitivity below. Thanks for any feedback!
  • Adcom GFA-555 MKI/MKII: 1.75V for 200W into 8 ohms and 130mV for 1W into 8 ohms.
  • Fosi P3-RMS Power: 250mw @16Ω; 150mw @32Ω; 32mw @250Ω; 20mW @300Ω

I'm sure the Fosi will work fine with your setup. I use a cheap 1Mii B06 bluetooth transmitter with my Adcom GFA-535 II amp and it works fine to my ears.

Thanks for the reply! My primary concern is that the preamp has enough output power to drive the amp properly. I’ve looked through the internet and I haven’t found anything that directly relates to my question since most people pair this preamp with other Fosi components. I haven’t had enough time to properly educate myself regarding the performance specs of each component especially since they each report different measurement units!
Thanks again, Lance

This thread has a member using a Fosi as a preamp to a console pull amp. Note that console pull amps are low-wattage.

thanks for the post, pretty interesting! When I was a kid we had a Zenith console that was awesome by my standards. I’m using KP 201’s for speakers so figuring that and the amp, even if the preamp output is slightly lower it will probably be fine!
