Found a clean pair of JBL D140F's, what should I use them for?

Recently had some vintage speakers fall in my lap, a matching pair of 8ohm JBL D140F 15", I believe from the 60's? I'm a guitarist so I'm vaguely familiar, but the genres I play don't really serve these all that well and I'm scared to blow them up hahaha. Some people pointed me in this direction claiming they would work well for hi-fi stereo or SET Amp applications because of how efficient they are. I have NO idea where to start, if it's affordable, or even possible to use them as stereo speakers. Would appreciate any help in either putting these to use.

The "F" series JBL speakers will work better for guitar or bass use. The OEM "F" voice coil has a wider air gap than the home audio non-F. A little less efficient. Do you have the Holy Grail blackface Vibroverb or a brownface Pro? That's where the D140F should go. I have a D130F in my brownface. I believe that the D140F has even more air space in the voice coil, for bass use. The 15-inch tone is much different than the 12-inch JBLs.

The thing with the 140-F is there are 2 different cones. both have ribbed cones.
Some like a pair I have, berried in storage, have the Very large Cloth surrounds!
Just like a LE15B. They are the ones that are useful for HiFi vintage speakers.
they are a direct replacement for the 136A's in the L-300's for tighter non Flabby bass.
and go higher to meet the horns. When I build new cabinets for my 4435, X-overs
and horns, I will use them for the Full range woofers, and Foam edge woofers
for the Lower Bass woofers,
Most of the JBL 140 woofers have the small cloth surrounds.
