Found a Pair of Jbl-L56's

Well I tried out the L-56's today. Overall not a bad speaker but I'm not impressed either. The lows are fine if turned down a tab and the highs are not overly bright but rather pleasant, however they do lack in Mid's and I suppose they did the best they could with the two speakers they used but their begging for a new crossover and a midrange in there... Will I do it? Nah I'll keep them and put them in the Ham shack and use them there from time to time. Next time I"ll try getting the 100t or t3's for a Jbl Den atmosphere unless of course there are better JBL Idea's ?....

So since I've read "some" about the great responses obtained with the EconWaves I would love to utilize the Woofer and Cabinet . So are there any projects that use the 127h and the size of the L-57 cabinet already out there that I can build?:scratch2: The xyl has not liked the sound of horns so perhaps I can win her over with this project:thmbsp:.

A couple of similars, actually, but I believe I'm the only one has used 127H. Closed-box, it requires a bit of LF compensation when played in freespace, i.e., away from boundaries.

The best way to make the determination is to build EconoWaves and set them on top of upside-down L56s with just the woofers connected. You can bring the leads out the ports. If that all works and sounds good, you then figure out how to cut in the waveguides.... :thmbsp:
