just a note to anybody reading this in the future, DON'T DESTROY THE DUFF ONES, ESPECIALLY IF THE LEADS ARE JUST BROKEN OFF FLUSH.

I have successfully recovered MANY of them by excavating (it's TRICKY work and an acquired skill, a few have tried their own DIY and irretrievably destroyed them, and subsequently sent them to me... alas too late) and soldering on thin FLEXIBLE stranded leads, and stabilized everything with epoxy - I have MADE MOLDS to do this.

I turn these around quickly - no multi-month wait, and at almost slave labor rates... more as a labor of love...
 
Well, hm, that was the original thought, that they WOULD go to people who need them at this excellent forum and not end up with a speculator in Romania or something.
Maybe I was being overly naïve, but didn't think they would fall in the "wrong" hands this way...
 
yup, between (my stv-xh) repairs and NOS replacements, a lot of Pioneers will keep on singing - COUNT on it...
