Found this in a record jacket...

I pulled out a few recent Barter Town purchases today to run them through my RCM. As a general rule, I replace paper sleeves with nicer poly sleeves (Diskeeper poly/rice paper sleeves) and keep the original sleeve if it is specific to the album.

I cleaned a very nice used copy of Tommy Tutone 2 and was having trouble sliding the new sleeve into the jacket. Ran into some resistance and after a few failed attempts looked inside the jacket. There was a letter inside. I'm used to finding a lot of stuff in new albums (download cards, CD's, etc) but this was a new one for me. Who knew 867-5309 (Jenny) was a song of rebels?

The first photo page of one of my high school yearbooks was of my three best buddies being taken out the front door by the police in handcuffs:rflmao:
Good thing I wasn't in that day...

Pretty cool. I'm guessing mom and dad didn't see that letter.

I've found a few interesting things in albums. One of the best has to be a note from Tom Rush to Susie with a ticket to his concert at the Phillips Academy in 1972. It was tucked in the Tom Rush album Classic Rush.

My only noteworthy finds in an album cover was some really dry weed (about 1/2 a finger in a sandwich bag) and a crisp $20 bill - not the same album.

I know when I was in high school, you couldn't run in the halls. Nobody ever said anything about skipping. :p

It would be hilarious if someone on AK sees that letter to Mr. & Mrs. Light and word gets back to them about it. Even funnier if Lisa hid it from them in the first place! :rflmao:

Lisa Light, huh. The little harlot. Skipping skool and listening to Tommy Tutone on vinyl! Wonder where she is now?

But who's the dad?
