So it's changed since my intro post...Thanks to @Grenadeslio for the suggestion---It's a marked improvement but still not perfect.
The Eltax were too boomy so I've sold them in favour of this random setup. I really only use this setup on my Dual 704 TT , and occasionally cd's or AUX but primary is vinyl.
Moved to the two sets of JPW's (One set 510ML's/one set Vintage Sonatas) The Sanyo DCX-4000 has y-outs on the Pre-out with one set going into the Sanyo Mains in, running the 510ML's (bi-wired to each channel), the second pre-out y goes to the Tuner in on the Akai AM2450 then tape outs for the Technics EQ
The Sonatas were booming bass in comparison to the 510MLs so I wanted to EQ them. If anyone has any other thoughts on how to improve let me know! (I also have a Sony TA500=ES Int. Amp (Meh) and Yamaha RX-530 Receiver (lovely)plus a pair of old Mercury Tannoys in use elsewhere in the house available for use).
Just trying to find an 'affordable' secondhand power amp (HAHA right?)
but my priority is getting speakers off the floor
