FRAZIER MK-IV question. Have a lovely pair of these and have usually only used for fm., not loud either. Recently, the sound became very "tinny" if that is correct word. Took out of service. Anyone have idea what prob. is? Also swapped out to a McIntosh amp, no change. (p.s., am not good on technical things.)

I think the crossovers only have one capacitor, a 3uf if I remember correct. It might need replacing, it could also be the high frequency adjustment pot, a good spray with deox might give it new life. Most likely it is corrosion in the pot doing it, try turning it while the speaker is playing and see if it clears up.
