Freya+ preamp users?

It looks like you've got your inputs & outputs reversed at the Freya.

I went from a Freya+ to a Supratek Cabernet. I find the Freya+ a great "passive" preamp and an ok tube preamp. I pus passive in quotes because while it doesn't have any amplification or buffering, there is still some active circuitry in it. The tell is that if the preamp is off you don't get any signal through the passive section. The active circuitry is used to convert single ended into balanced and vice versa.

The Supratek gives me a much bigger, smoother presentation with better bass and overall I prefer it to the Freya+. On the other hand, I spent a ton of money on the Surpatek and the law of diminishing returns is a real thing. I have gone back to the Freya+ and I gotta say that the passive section is clearer as you should expect. Strictly speaking all the Cabernet can really do is add distortion and so a loss of some detail is to be expected. I will end up keeping both I think. It's nice to be able to change the sound of your system so easily.

Thank you for catching my mistake of misplaced cables. My preamp sound great and has added a big boost in the bass dept, but I find it weird that I have to crank the volume all the way up. The volume is controlled through my main amp's volume.
