Fried model r crossover

Does anyone know the exact details of the FRIED MODEL R SERIES II (2) CROSSOVERS? I believe them to possibly be some type of Modified KEF Concerto crossover with a woofer to mid crossover frequency point of 200 Hz...(rather than 375 Hz in series I). I think back in the day, Fried offered these as a kit add-on to upgrade series I to make them into series II (? only difference?). Anyone have exact technical info/schematics/parts #'s/circuitry ? Any help appreciated;where to find them, who to contact. Thanks

Fried products did not make it here due to the "legals" between J Wright et al and someone who did a bit of marketing for IMF.

Regarding your problem.

1. What have you got in your original crossover? Have you measured the values? If not why not?

375Hz, bet it's a half-section too :D.

2. A B139@200Hz would have ~10+mH of inductance in series and ~100uF+ capacitance configured in a T-section.

So if you take away what you have from the above and round up to the nearest mH or 0.5mH, you get what may have been in an "add on" kit :banana:.

Thanks, This is good info for me to start with...thank you...for me as a total amateur this is way over my head, but I can work with someone nearby who understands the details electronically. I had heard that Irving M. Fried (Bud) would change out parts of KEF crossovers to his liking for the Fried line making them unique to that series line...I would like to upgrade my R series I up to R series II which have a far superior crossover sonically (woofer to mid) as mentioned in vintage Fried literature. What was particularly different in the actual parts, I don't know, I'm still searching for details; if I can get schematics or what parts were changed in the crossovers, the crossovers can be constructed new from Falcon. The new Fried and KEF companies currently have no remaining vintage data about this. I apologize for my lack of knowledge on the subject...hoping to learn more and the detail as provided can help me; maybe with proper measurement as suggested, with respect, my current crossovers can be modified. If I had access to a "parted-out" set of Fried Model R Series II speakers, the problem could be solved by examining/using those crossovers! - Thank you
 
FRIED Model R/II

I had a pair of R/II speakers, and I modified the tweeter circuit as per an upgrade from FRIED.

I have the schematic and literature, reviews, of the speakers.
