Anyone interested in my two pristine Dalesford 10" woofers?

I have the B's w/ the Marvelous H coffin which have the beefy Kef 8".

I was thinking about cutting out the panel that would allow me to pop in the dalesford to hear how they would sound. My understanding is that they used the same xover....what do you think.

It's amazing how close those look to Audax Bextrines.

The only similarity is the cloth dust caps.

Dalesford used a much higher gauss larger magnet structure then Audax and a Nomex voice coil former. All of the Audax bextrene cones use a paper voice coil former.
Back in the early 80's several friends of mine purchased many of the Audax bextrene cones including the 10" HD 24 B 45. The xmas of the Audax are 4mm compared to 8-10mm of the Dalesford sub drivers Fried used.

I have enclosed a photo of the last oem Fried Dalesford 6.5' used in the Super Monitors. Bud told me this version was only used in the models sold to recording studios for professional application monitors. The same is true of the 10" and 12" sub drivers sold for these purposes.

Crazy yet...... I've seen this tactic on ebay before. And more often than you think, it works! An item sits forever at a lower price and goes nowhere. Seller RAISES the prices and within days it sells. Something whacky about how people perceive the actual value of an item based on asking price.

Not saying the Fried speakers will sell at the higher price. But then again, you just never know.

There was also an option of adding a super tweeter to the original Fried Super Monitor.
The super tweeter used was the Dynaudio D-21H.
I never had the opportunity to see and listen to the model using the optional super tweeter.

Enlcosed is the crossover schematic of this model.
