From border of Georgia/TN to MN...

DelanoJoe

AKA - SmokinJoe
Need to find a few folks willing to get some speakers from GordonW from border of Ga to MN. I can come down Iowa way if someone can get them close. I'd be willing to help some AKer's with gas as well as a favorite beverage (within reason)...

I hope it works out for you Joe. Those Mach I's are right down your alley, I enjoyed my time with the pair I had.

Thats why I'm giving it a try. Not much for response on this forum - guessing I can go to the frapper map and see if anyone would be willing to help. If not, probably wasn't meant to be (yet)...

Joe

I've got a cousin in Nashville, whom I've been meaning to visit. I'd be more than willing to run the speakers from Nashville to Southern Indiana, and then maybe more northern on another trip if it'd be ok.

How big are they and how quick do you need them?

I may be able to help but not until later in the summer.

Thanks for the responses guys. Here is the scoop:

GordonW is selling these on the members classifieds. Gordon said he could get them as far as the Georgia/TN border. I already asked approse if he could pick them up and move them closer - he's can do it in cold months, but has a nursery and can't do it during some months. I'm not in any kind of a rush and have asked Gordon to get me spec's (height/width/weight).

I believe Gordon is in the Atlanta area, but can verify. So right now if we found someone to get them to Nashville, might be able to get them closer.

Thanks again for the responses and I'll try and help out anyone with gas...

Joe

Joe, if they aren't monsters I can get them to Indianapolis but not until July. Gordon is only 20 minutes from me so he wouldn't have to take them anywhere. The problem becomes someone holding them in Indy until they can be pony expressed to you.

Terry

That might be a possibility. I'll do some looking for someone around that area and see what I can dig up. The Mach 1's are not that big. I asked Gordon on specs, but am guessing about the same size as advents, not sure on weight. I'm not in a rush and thought I'd try this route. If it works, it would be great. Otherwise I'll just have to keep looking...

Thanks for the offer - I'll let you know what I find out.

Provided for size evaluation. In the neighborhood of 50 lbs each approx.

Have to put it on hold for the moment. Local pair I need to look at first. If they look and sound nice, it would be a lot easier than coordinating up from Georgia. I'll let you know what I find out and thanks for all the offers. I should know by next week if it's worth pursueing this route or not...

Found a pair here local - fellow AKer PM'd me after seeing my post. Sorry Gordon - yours looked beautiful but that is quite a distance and I'd have to wait half the summer. Good luck with selling them - they do sound nice!!!

Thanks to all of you for offering to help out. I really appreciate everyone who chimed in to help...
