Fun With Reverb...

I'm an admitted 'Gear-Head' and I Love messin' with Stuff so I put this little JVC-102 Reverb Amp in-line with my TT thru a seperate A/R Pre-Amp...WOW is this cool, I plug in a Mic and I can Jam Along with my Blues-Harps! Just tried to keep-up with J.Geils. Whew... I Sound GOOD through this thing, you don't have to apply any reverb if you don't want to,but I like to see the 'Radar-Screen' Lit-up so I apply some. My System makes it seem like I'm back on-stage. Got a long cord on the Mic. The Dog Dances around with me.
The JVC doesn't use 'Springs', it produces a cleaner reverb than the Sansui RA500, but the Sansui has more Options. I like to use it with the Cassette Deck playing Classical/Acoustic/Instrumentals and I plug-in my Flute that has a pick-up in the Head-Joint so I can Jam along.
These little Amps are cheap and Fun to mess around with.If you like Jammin'.

yes, they can be highly entertaining. I like to use one with different types of music, sometimes you get that "big old church" sound while with surf and rockabilly it's just a bit more psychedelic.

I've got the Pioneer SR-9 reverb its pretty cool to watch and once and awhile the effects sound good, but most of the time its to artifical.
