What I'm discussing is that the training set gets modified based on incomplete and incorrect information and errors it makes. Then it incorporates that in future requests. It is not traditional code-based programming, but it has rules and processes included in the deep learning process.
That is not the case, AI is trained on very specific data sets. An image generation AI would do a very poor job doing an delivery route optimization process.

As a reminder, this is what I said: "But what is never mentioned is that the training materials are nothing more than "the entire output of mankind."
So, if it is not data that Man created, what data is it?

I disagree with the premise that AI collects\operations based on "the entire output of mankind" - while this might be arguable on the surface, it's not that simple.
Obviously there is a large amount of weighting of the samples (just for example) and all of us have seen for years that the "data sets" (i.e., internet) are highly biased towards misinformation. I shouldn't comment further because I'm just this guy on the internet, you know? (Zaphod!).
EDIT: sorry, I just want to see fun interesting images here, I'm shutting up now.

If you go to Getty Stock Images and search: "Man listening to records," you will see everyone wearing headphones. The big difference is that the Getty images would be commercially useable, whereas the Google images are not because of erroneous rendering and lacking useful detail. It would not surprise me if the Google was trained using Getty. As with the NYT, Google may have dismissed any copyright concerns.
I also assume that the "demo versions" of these AIs that the public can access are severely crippled so that no useful commercial value can be extracted without paying Google.

Now, as to everyone else, can we please have no more debate on where AI gets it's info, where it's going in it's future, and how long till it starts using us all as it's food source?
A bunch of us are really only lookin to enjoy some cool & interesting views on how present day AI sees our world when it's asked to.......
Ahhh...do ya think. Throw in military value. I think something everybody can agree on is that it is a powerful tool. Strange and bizarre, the terms have reach in their definition.

Let's make this fun by getting people to suggest different themes of pics we'd like to see AI create, and then the AI guys can feed it into the AI and post the results.
My opening suggestion will be "Steampunk Airplane"
