I hooked up the Furman to my system of B&K amp and preamp, and Carver CD player. The amp is the last to power up. CD and preamp turns on 1 & 2, respectively. I get pops in my speakers. I get it mostly during power-ons and power-offs. No rhyme or reason - I could not figure out a pattern. But when the system is just plugged in a regular power strip, no pops. I think it even sounds better. Any ideas?

I bought the Furman used. The insides look clean and new.
