I bought a $15 assortment of 3 mats. Bought on a whim. Found on shelf in a local Walmart store.

Edit: When I searched thier site. Online price was higher at $24.87. Strange.

Included:
3mm felt
3mm cork with label recess
3mm silicone rubber with label recess

I'm using rubber mat in stack (for VTA) on SL1200 MK2. Recess has a little ripple just in label relief, because thin in that area. Easily lies flat with slight weight.

I think they are all quite serviceable, IMO. May try felt on my old Linn.

Has me wondering why some mats are $150? To each his own. I usually don't pay over $20 for a mat.

I got a 3 pack of cork ones from Amazon for about that. Needed one for my Garrard Lab 80 after the original disintegrated in an unfortunate chemical rejuvenation experiment. Seems to work OK.

Kind of like the idea of the 3 different materials for experimental reasons though. Probably would have bought that had I seen it.

The big problem with single layer cork & felt mats is that the LP does not sit flat on the mat as there is no recess for the LP label. A LP for best S/Q must sit on the mat surface.
Yep, see the 3 pack at on our W/M site, great

Cheers

I ended up getting a second set. To stack two rubber mats on my SL1200, for VTA.

* I should inform that I measered about 1/16" runout on outside diameter of the two rubber mats I bought.
Runout looks to be less on cork and felt.
Edit: I checked rubber mat thickness around outside, in various spots. Used dial caliper. Within a .003" variation.

Got mine. $14.97. Have a Dual 1219 stuck on the multi setting. cant work on arms. Arthirtus in my hand and small parts don’t mix.

Alcohol and wintergreen oil for me. Smelled nice but mint scented black slime isn't useful
Oh yeah, that wintergreen stuff completely borked my Garrard Lab 80 idler wheel.
Oh well, probably needed a new one anyway. Lesson learned.
