G-22000 - protection circuit time delay problem

:rockon:I admit I love my G-22000 but my AU-9500 is a lot more fun. I would say my G-22000 is made to enjoy with the look and the AU-9500 is to enjoy with your eyes closed! If you understand me!

for fun you could try a bleeder resistor across the timing cap .
or monitor the caps voltage at regular intervals when unit is turned off . be best adding a switch if doing this so the meter doesn't draw current when you dont want it to .

This is my current thinking Pete, once I have a bit of spare time (Hahahaha), I am indeed going to try this and also do some more in depth monitoring of the circuit.

That’s only because you haven’t partaken of a Kevzep modded AU-999.
I found the AU-9500 too “dark” sounding for my tastes.

Hi Chapi, welcome to the Sansui forum. The G-22000 is a fantastic receiver. You are lucky to have it. Each piece has it's own serial number. Is the serial number you posted from the amp or the tuner? Do you have the other serial number?

I just joined this forum today and posted my two serial numbers for my G22000. I went to the link shown above. I am original owner, bought it in Japan in 1979, looks and works like new still.
