I all, I'd like to get some infos. Since the G 9000 is almost double power compare to the au 9500, do we get the same quality as far as purity sound and low distortion , i'd like some more power however still keep the same quality as the au 9500 . Thanks to all

Why do you need more power? What speakers are you driving?

The big G's are sweet sounding receivers, I have a G-8000, but I've never heard the AU-9500. If you like the integrated amps maybe an AU-11000 is in order.

tall,
I'm not sure what sound you like that you're after.... the g9000 and the au9500 are both great IMHO in the sound dept. but it'll depend on your taste and what speakers you're driving. The g9000 is from the design era where they (Sansui) were starting to make the sound less classic and more "accurate" spec wise. It's sorta in the sound design of the au717 or the like whereas the au9500 is kinda at the tail end of the classic Sansui sound era. With small difference it'll sound most like the other high end Sansui amp made say 76 till about 78-79 when the new designs like the x19 series came out. The previous amps to the 9500 like the 999/xxx series are a little more gold/tubelike yet. Lots of variables, mostly in your speakers as well so.... opinion ventured, your milage may vary.

well put approse

Totally agree with that assessment, also consider what you listen to, hard rock or driving fast paced music, go the big G...
Like Blues? Classical? late night NPR Jazz...go the AU 9500.
The G is prettier.

my au9500 sound fantastic with anything i listen to!mine plays through a pair of altec 501's or my sansui spx 7000 or my sony apm 510's, depends on who's hooked up.As for more power? my 9500 will drive my altecs to amasing sound levels cleanly :D
