G6000

I am wondering general consenus on the G6000. I am ready to purchase my first "real" piece of audio equipment and think I have settled on a G6000 I found. I have done quite a bit of reading on the unit and what I read sounds good, I have also seen pics of this particular unit and looks new.

I wanted the ask the sansui group what they think of the G6000, and if in their opinion is a good unit to get into audiophiling( is that a word?) or would I just be throwing money down a hole.

Hope I wasnt suposed to post in $ and sense.

Welcome, you are all good as long as we dont start talking about how much we think they might be worth in terms of actual $$.....

This particular G-X000 series are the more revered receiver/amplifiers to come out of the Sansui factory.....
Well designed and built, good reliability, awesome sound........

I have the G 5000 { a pair} and a G 8000 from this series.
Great build, wonderful sound, not as warm sounding as some Sansui's, the "simulated wood grain vinyl" case pisses me off.
They are sure pretty. I think the 6k is the smallest with power meters, eye candy but sweet nonetheless....
