Here's a cheap and efficient rotator for an rafter-mounted garage FM antenna.
The antenna is a Radio Shack 6 element. The mast is a short iron rod with a collar with a a set screw. The wood parts make a press fit between the rafters and drilled holes locate the rod. The collar is not really needed in the event since the holes are snug enough already.
A piece of vinyl tubing fits over the rod - if I use the garage door, it will bend out of the way.
With the antenna and wire, I've got maybe $40 total into this. The 300 ohm twinlead is lower loss than coax and it is a short run inside. This way I avoid balun losses too.
