Garage Sale Dual C 919 not working

Just picked up a Dual C 919 deck from a garage sale. It was free/as is and surprise, it doesn't work
Is there something easy to check, or a common fail on these decks?
Is there a fuse?
thanks for any help

I don't see in the manual where the fuse is.
I do see a fuse under the deck but from what I can see it has not blown

I found a fuse and the picture is below, It tested ok

But I think I found the problem
It looks like this post has come off the board (not sure if this is considered a board, but it has come off the base)
Is there a trick, or part that can be used to get this post and the wire it connects back connected?

There are two green wires in the picture. The one on the right (above the 3) is attached properly on a post that is there to competes the connection. The one on the left, you can see the wire, its connector, and a silver stick/post. The post is supposed to be sticking up. The post has come off the base and has broken the connection

The post is still with the green wire on the left. I think you can see it better in this picture

I have fixed this with an ugly solder connecting the wire back. The tape deck is now working, sort of.

Now the belts seem to be slipping.
Without a tape in, it will "play" FF and Reverse. With a tape in, it will fast forward, not reverse and not play
Should I start a new thread asking for a tutorial on changing belts?

well done in getting so far .. next thing is clean the pinch-wheel .
also check the belts . cleaning the wheel might just get it going though ..

just thought ..if the tape isn't moving in play its more likely the belts .
the pinch wheel is what feeds the tape through . if it was slipping the tape would maybe run through quickly . the wheel is on the open side of the cassette .to the right of open side at the bottom of the deck . black rubber wheel

It found the Pinch wheel. The belt that drives the pin that the pinch wheel pinches is off and stretches, and cracked

The question is
Is a Dual C 919 tape deck worth $20 in belts?

it really depends on what it is worth to you .
you could measure the belts and maybe get them cheaper . i know you can here .

IMHO it is worth the money and effort to fix. I would get a rebelt kit and change all the belts and do any lubrication called for at that time. Get a service manual.

Two Questions
Can anyone confirm the belts that I need for the Dual C 919?
I found that the three belts needed are
fry 10.0
ox 5.5
scq 6.7

I have found I can order them on eBay by searching Dual C 919 belts
but I found this site, and can order them direct, if I have the correct belts.
The price difference is significant, because of shipping, but I am also wary about trusting someone in Germany to package the correct belts together

So I had all the belts replaced by a tech.
He calls me up and says that the motor must be bad because of excessive wow and flutter
He cleaned it and lubed it, but it will not come up to speed
He was surprised to see that the same motor on this Dual tape deck is in the Dual turntable
Anyone think it is worth looking for a replacement motor? How difficult would it be for me to change the motor myself?

I have a few Dual turntables for parts. See if you can find out what motor you need and maybe I can help you out. Or maybe it doesn't matter what motor you use

Thanks, I will try to get it out, if I can get it out I hopefully would be able to put it back in
