garrard 3000 amp on bypass

I have been working on getting a packard bell stereo console up and running for my house. I am new to vinyl and wanted to get the Garrard TT working but I lost patience with it after several hours of work with mixed results. I ended up purchasing an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 which fits in the space that the garrard sat nicely. The issue is that I would like to use the Phono source select for the TT but the Garrard has a built in "function" that turns the tuner on when the TT is started. Is there any way to bypass this with out any major modifications to the original system? There is a Tape input that I am currently running the TT into but I would like to use that for bluetooth and or Chromecast functionality.
