Garrard GSS100 on Craigslist- should I take the plunge?

In my last post, I was thinking of getting some Realistic's, then some JBL's, then some Advent's. But now I wanted to ask if I should go and buy some Garrard GSS100's on Craigslist for $65 a pair- I read another AK post that said they were pretty good, and also that they were rare, but for $65 is it worth it? And yes, I love color.

If they have the Walnut veneer, and all the drivers work, I'd say they're worth $65.00. You'll probably want to use a sub-woofer with them later on.

...equipment you plan to use the speakers with, your favorite types of music etc. etc. etc.

You guys ought to look at the Garrards before you pooh-pooh the idea. 1" MDF, real walnut, MTM design with a dome tweet...they'd be great with a sub.

I haven't actually heard them, but there are a couple of positive reviews here on AK.

OP might want to verify that they're real walnut veneer. Vinyl would nix the deal for me.
