I've started to see gas dropping below $3 a gallon here in Southern NJ, though only to $2.99 at the moment. How are prices elsewhere?
Meanwhile, for my family and friends back in England, they are paying $7.87 for the same quantity of fuel. This is taking into account the current exchange rate of 1 US Dollar = 1.60 British Pound, the cost of UK petrol at £1.30 (1 pound 30 pence) per litre according to my dad two days ago, and the fact that 1 US gallon is 3.78 litres, and 1 UK (Imperial) gallon is 4.54 litres.
For 1 UK gallon (4.54 litres) it costs $9.46. If you could pay in England what I'm paying here for fuel, you would only be paying 49 pence per litre.
It's a good job I don't live there any more with my old 3.5 litre Capri, all my money would go into the tank...
