GE Phonograph

Im looking so some help.

I recently purchased an old phonograph as a cool statement piece and if I was really lucky I would be able to give it the TLC that it needs to play beautifully again. The back has been removed which Im guessing is where I would have found a serial number so I can find a manual or at least some more information. I have patient numbers which has given me little info but not what Im looking for. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction, and maybe give a newbie a little encouragement or tips.

Welcome aboard! Got any pics of the insides?

I could be wrong but this one looks like it could possibly be a series string, hot chassis design.

This is what Ive got.

That is not a hot chassis so hang onto it.

I looks like it has a power transformer and what looks like two 6V6GT tubes in push-pull and is probably good for about 10 watts.

Ok that thing is about five notches better than I expected. Nice console!

4 pole phono motor, push pull 6V6 amplifier, 6SC7 magnetic cartridge preamp, likely a GE variable reluctance cartridge. Is the speaker a GE 1201 or 1203? Can we see ?

Okay so theses are the speakers.

That's not a GE speaker, but will sound good! I think this is a really nice console .

I didn't think so, could that mean someone replaced them at some point? I feel like Im missing a connection, there is nothing for me to connect the speakers to the console. The people who I got it from said that it worked but was crackly, I wasn't to concerned so I never checked.
