I have a GE RD-325-4 turntable in a GE A722G console. I have gotten everything up and running except the turntable. I am looking for some directional support as this is my first turntable, let alone turntable repair.
If I manually trigger the mech to turn on the motor and mess with the tracking position it plays without issue.
1st problem: When turning the knob to on/rej it does not push the slide to trip switch for the motor. After marking up the blowout below I want to double-check part 31 (spring) This may be my issue.
2nd problem: The record support arm assembly (part 27) has a bent arm at the end and is jammed up. It is currently stuck at the bottom of the travel, preventing the tone arm from moving out to the record.
What options do I have for the record support? I figure I could get it raised, and the unit would play but I would like to be able to load a few records as designed.
