Genesis Physics 1+ Refoam

View media item 23553So I picked these up pretty cheap locally, not knowing much about them. I was intrigued that they were not just another set of pioneer or kenwood speakers that everyone has. From what I have read these are a very decent set of speakers. The problem is the need refoamed. That is something I have never done, but not afraid to try anyway. What are some tips to doing it right? Where is a reputable place to get new surrounds?
Thanks!

I have a pair of Genesis II speakers. I believe mine has the same 8" woofer as in yours. When you refoam the 8" woofer, use the same foam surround as fits EPI 8", that is, a Boston-style fillet surround.

These were my first pair of real speakers.

Refoam, be sure to use the filleted type, and replace the sole 10uF cap in there. Amazing speakers for the money.

Plenty of info here and on Youtube about refoaming speakers. These are pretty easy. Don't remove the dust cap, use a 30hz signal instead to center the voice coil.
