Giant BGW 500r amp, anyone know it??

Hello everyone, nice score today, a BGW 500r stereo power amp, does anyone know anything about it?? Seems bizarre, front looks almost like a marantz with the black panel and the red lights, back looks like SAE?? Looks to be two independent amps inside. Back has a badge "mark three A, Scientific audio electronics Inc."
Picked this up for $30, what's the deal??

So it's looking like its a SAE mk. IIIa but with a BGW face plate that says 500r

That faceplate does not belong on that amp, someone probably just cobbed it on, I would be a bit worried plugging that in judging from the interior work but you never know, might work great. It looks like a dual mono setup

So what's up with the Mk 3a?? I'm thinking of giving it a full recap
