Looks very good and I envy you. I bought my first system similar to yours after I graduated.

Too nice a college system. It probably wont be appreciated and it might get trashed unless you live off campus.

Be sure you have renters' insurance anyway. With brands and model numbers listed, on a rider if necessary.

Nice stuff, get a streaming device that plugs into your receiver so vinyl will be an option, not a necessity. I put 3 through colleges with vintage rigs and they appreciated the versatility of streaming. Hopefully you will not only study your school work but also be enlightened to some new sounds that will beg for more research. It may open some new doors, the end game is all about music.

Yea I just set up an old Apple TV for use an an airplay music streamer , works good as I can wirelessly send music from my phone or laptop to it.

I'm not that familiar with all the ways to stream, but through these forums I found out about devices like a Chromecast, that allows you to use your stereo to stream to. I'm an old fart so you are probably more knowledgeable about it. I love streaming music to my main rig, sounds much better than the TV.
You're going to be a helicopter parent keeping the drunk douchebags in the dorm from playing DJ and scratching on the turntable, otherwise great setup for anyone!
I was thinking that too but he said very selective about who gets up close and near... not only about the stereo but life in general. Discerning... and, don't let it or others seduce you away from job number one... studies.

Times have certainly changed.
I used to be in the hifi business way back in the 70’s in Boston/Cambridge Ma and back to school was a very busy time for us.
That said, comparatively speaking, your system kicks a lot of ass!
Make sure that no one eff’s with it and please maintain it in the right way!
Other than that, enjoy your time at your school and be sure to have fun but stay safe!

We all remember our 1st system. Many of my college friends had nice systems and guarded them well. I was a bit to trusting but still own most of my college system to this day.
You have a big head start on years of good listening while you study. I have a Kenwood KD-770 as my main table and love it. I have owned it since buying it new in college to replace my Pioneer PL-400. Kenwood engineers sure knew how to build turntables during that era.

Wouldn't have worked for my college days when I lived in a dorm. I hardly had enough space for my clothes and felt lucky to have a small FM radio.
