Going to some sort of shibata from Denon DL-110 elliptical?

I know it's not loose change, but for anyone who's really inquisitive, right now you can get the AT-VM95SH complete cartridge plus the AT-VMN95ML stylus for a total of £282 on a well known online marketplace, which seems a pretty good deal for two such excellent stylii, which I think are perfectly inerchangeable in the VM95SH body

i went from a 440mla to an at150sa on my main table and i definitely prefer the shibata even if it is technically inferior. the shibata's high end detail sounds more resolved to my ear with out the etchiness of the microline. the lows and low mids are also much better with the shibata. with the 440 mla, i felt like i was sacrificing beef for clarity. i get both with the at150sa.

theres a seller on ebay that sells the at150sa and will occasionally drop the price to 275. hes currently got it listed at 350, but if you wait him out, itll drop. id go that route over the vm95sh

A definite benefit of this product line. We have a conical and elliptical in the house already on my kid's turntables. Now I have the full ML cartridge on mine. I can definitely see trying the SH at some point for the fun of comparison. Very cool that I could keep everything exactly the same, except for the stylus, to do a comparison.

But deep within, you'll still know the ML is better:beerchug::naughty:
