I have some quadraflex gear and it is pretty good. I had a cassette and a receiver and they both were fine commercial grade electronics.

I have a few Quadraflex Reference receivers (Not the same as this one...). They all sound really good and are way under the radar price wise.

A Quadraflex is what got me into all this. For $50 it's not a steal, but they do sound good. Mine was a Quadraflex Reference 180R, now long gone. The silver on the one you posted looks pretty nice though, I would probably grab it for that given my fondness for the gear.

In my research I learned that Quadraflex was the house brand of Pacific Stereo, which is what I think Zebra was alluding to up there...

If you just need a nice-looking receiver, I'd say go for it. You could resell it for $50 if you didn't like it, heck mine was not nearly as nice and I sold it for $40 cash and it sold quick.
