Just grabbed this set up for $500 off our local version of Craigslist and am hoping I didn't get ripped off, I'm a Klipsch virgin. I've never even owned floor stand speakers till now and to be honest this setup is a little more speaker than I was planning on for my old Fisher CA-880 but it had just been posted and looked like a good deal so I ran over and grabbed them impulsively.

Klipsch KSF-C5 Center Speaker
Pair of Klipsch KLF-10s

Anything I need to know? You folks look to be the internet Klipsch experts :)

Whew. They are in amazing condition visually (cone, cabinet and rubber), still plugging them in to see if they function well but that's good to hear. I've always heard good things about Klipsch so I got excited to see them for sale in my price point just 20 minutes away.
 
These things are filling my house with this amazing, clear sound right now. It just permeates through the walls and the floors. I'm no audiophile but I'm really loving the highs in my bluegrass/americana tunes and the crashing noise of Bob Dylan 1975 live.

So awesome. I'm inspired to clean because the whole house is full of beautiful music.

I may just have to do those upgrades and get even more out of them. Not to mention a proper 3.1 receiver. Thanks guys :)
 
Congrats.

Forget a 3.1 receiver. I would donate the CC speaker and get a good two channel amp and preamp. I doubt you even need the sub, but it can be incorporated in this setup if necessary.

Agreed I would lean the same way, Enjoy.
 
Klipsch, especially Heritage, are vastly underrated by speaker snobs. I have 3 pair, and they are voiced to not necessarily need subs. If you like to pile on the bass, go for the sub. I've never felt the need with kg2's, Forte I's, and Klipschorns, and I'm a bassist by trade.

Klipsch has been my biggest happiest audio surprise, along with schiit bifrost. What a winner.
 
Good deals to be had all the time in audio. Right place/right time is the rub.
Enjoy your Klipsch! Oh. And add the sub(s)!! :D

Nice score.
Get a solid state amp or receiver to power them. Someone else might help on what you might get that's new, but I like the sound of stuff from the 70s and early 80s.
