Good looking and sounding1060 a worthwhile restoration candidate?

Your Opinions wanted. Subjective as we all are.

As titled, is this model a good candidate for effort/money to restore to possibly near original performance? My 1060 has very good face condition. Speaker posts function well. Inside looks good. Looks like previous owner took care of it.

I like the aesthetics. It has a lot of features for a lower powered amp. If the sound only gets marginally better than it now is, I could live with that. I have better amps for more demanding speakers.

I don't listen to AM/FM. So a receiver is a waste for me.

I realize this is likely a Marantz biased bunch on this thread.

Got it recapped etc. New wood cabinet. Sounds very good.

Great little amp and yes all the old electrolytic caps should be replaced. the transistors on the phono and tone board if i remember right are problematic and should be replaced as well. not always a big improvement in sound unless there was an issue to begin with its more of a preventative measure as electrolytic's have a limited life , but recapped units usually seem to have a bit more punch to me. My 1060 sounded sweet before i had it recapped and sounded just as sweet after.
