Good price on a Kenwood KR9940?

I have a guy who wants to sell his Kenwood KR9940 in working order.
Whats a reasonable price to pay for it?
He also has 4 Pioneer CS-63DX speakers he wants to get rid of, all working.
What are they worth, are they any good?

It's better to quote his price because there are just so many variables...
This is a quad unit and rated at 50 WPC but I don't know if that's quad or 2 channel.

It is, of course, worth what the buyer would pay but the last one sold on Ebay for $133. That is probably a pretty good indicator of the price range. You might have a 4 channel collector willing to pay more or a 2 channel guy wanting to pay less. La Crosse is not NY or LA so you can deduct a few bucks for exchange rate . I would think $100 would be a fair price to pay.

The Pioneer CS-63DX are ...meh. They are a 6way with low power handling, 80w.. About their only redeeming feature is the exceptional woodwork with the lattice grill. They are probably a good mate for the 4 channel receiver. I bought a pair of beat about CS-88's for about $25, IIRC. I'd offer $20 a speaker if they are in good shape and all drivers are working. If nothing else, you could use the boxes for a future speaker project, ala Econowaveguide.
