not sure what you mean by "PP", but you can almost always find a suitable replacement for a volume pot, if not an original drop-in. tell us what exactly you're looking for. pics, model #'s, resistance?

i meant push pull..... it is kind of a rare pot at least thats what my tech seems to think

it is 1 mega ohm , double stack (dual?¿), 4 pins on each (3 on one side 1 on the other side). half shaft.

.nilo.

can you or your tech confirm the pot is logarithmic/audio tapered? is the fourth pin connected to anything?

The biggest challenge with replacement pots finding the exact mechanical specs such as shaft length, shaft diameter, type of shaft finish to accommodate the proper knob - things like that. 1Meg pots are available but finding the right one with the proper taps for Loudness, etc, makes it harder to match, too.

How about some more details like the model amp involved, etc? Makes it hard to make suggestions without specifics.

Cheers,

David

That 4th terminal is for the loudness circuit. You will not find any "tapped" pots in DigiKey or Mouser.
I find it extremely rare that Deoxit 100% cannot cure a noisy pot. Sometimes you need to take the pot apart.

Columbia!!!:smoke:

i think it is spelled: colOmbia!

nor at AES. you think taking it apart can cure the noise? my tech sprayed some dust graphite , it did not benefit from it ....
