Good spacers for stacking gear?

I used these:

I made a jig for my table saw to be able to cut them safely, and cut them into pads that are slightly under 2” square. They stack nicely, so you can get 1-3/4” spacing by doubling them if desired. Being specifically designed to reduce vibration is a bonus. I still have them (2 of them stacked x 4) under my amp. If you cut them into 2” squares, it works out to about $1.25 for each 2” square.

My cheap way out is potted meat/tuna cans and a discarded yoga mat cut to size with a little glue.

I have used scotch bottle corks in the past. Aberlour has a nice wide base. And it’s a pretty deep red color. Goes with everything! Just sayin’ !

I always heard that hockey pucks were good and even looked for them in the local sporting goods store. They didn't carry them, but I eventually (a few years later) found a box of about thirty for five bucks at a yard sale. Until that moment I always thought they were made of wood.

They worked out fine as spacers.

The ones I use have a checkered circumference, which makes them a bit less reflective than a smooth surface. That, plus basic black, and reasonably priced (aka cheap ;}-)> ), what's not to like?
