Goodmans LF Drivers that time forgot!!

I had picked up a LF driver for my Goodmans Maxim from the auction site. The seller had posted that he had 3 for sale. After paying for the one I bought I thought I should go back and get another but the listing had ended..oh well
The seller is about 40 minutes away so we arranged a pickup at his place. When I arrived and went in the backyard I saw 3 boxes on the table along with a lone Maxim speaker.
I asked about the other two and if they were sold, he said no that he closed the auction after the first one was sold.
He said all 3 LF were available and would throw in the single ....so we made the deal.
The LF were never installed and two were still sealed in the box the single had a replacement HF but the woofer is perfect. He had bought them back in 78 for a project but never got around to . it is almost impossible to find a replacement used but 3 in the box new...
These will go to repair a pair of Maxims and probably use the others in a DYI

Wow, that is a very lucky find. Always wanted to hear a set of the small Maxims, how do you like them? Worth the cost they bring on the market?

I think they are, I have multiple pairs of Maxims and even a pair of double Maxims. For what I use them for, bedroom,Office, garage...they are a great little speaker.
I have been very lucky with finding them and this will help me get a couple of pairs back into the world.

I pulled a pair off the shelf to replace the LF and found the HF had no signal. After tearing it apart I found it had a bad capacitor.
Hopefully that's it and another pair back in the world..
