Goodwill actually had something good!

Damn... great score! I would have jumped on that if I had found such a thing when I was in the market for another disc player. My old Denon DVD player was breaking down so after doing a bit of research on what might be a good replacement, I bought an Oppo BDP-93 player, in what seemed to be mint condition. I paid $250 (and maybe a bit more with shipping) for it, which seemed to be a good deal for such a thing, but it was a gamble buying used (and disc players, in my experience always seem to eventually die), though $13.00 is of course an even better deal! I've been pretty happy with it, even if I haven't used the Blue Ray features much (which my old one didn't have), nor the SACD ones (which the old player did have). One thing I like about the Oppo, which most reviews probably miss, is that the disc drive is dead quiet. Other DVD players I've had make just a bit of noise, which isn't noticeable from a few paces away from the unit, but still kind of bugged me. I suppose that besides not being bothered by the noise of the thing, the quietness of it is possibly a sign that it's built well and hopefully designed to last...

Also, I must compliment you on your taste, seeing the X - Wild Gift LP in the background, which is a long-time favorite of mine.

Congrats!
I have a Oppo BDP-83 and a BDP-83SE. They are great players! Unfortunately the standard 83 has developed the infamous tray opening/closing issue and has been sidelined for the past year.
