Goodwill/SA/Thrift Store Discussions & Finds

That's so cool! All working? How does it sound?

Idler wheel could use a rebuild, but otherwise working great (I have a second one that needs to be recapped). It sounds pretty good, not awe inspiring but nice.

The cassette on the bottom is a Technics RS-277US (also working except it needs a gear for the auto reverse).

I like art glass. Almost too much. I used to pick up every cool piece of art glass I found. Then I realized I had nowhere to put them. I put them on sale and was surprised at how little they were going for. Granted, a lot were ashtrays, but not all of them. But I sense they are starting to go back up, as people find other ways of enjoying some beautiful glass that will never be made again. The process of making them was too dangerous and had very nasty by-products.

Here's a sampling of some I either still have, or have had. I loved them all!
